FERTIGATION (FERTILISERS APPLICATION THROUGH DRIP] SCHEDULE FOR MUSKMLEON CROP
Muskmelon Nutrition: Muskmelon is one of the fruit crops grown prior to summer season, which can be consumed in summer season. Muskmelon crop grows better in dry conditions or dry areas. Many farmers are growing muskmelon crop with drip irrigation systems installed for effective use of water. Farmers are also applying mulch paper as well for effective weed control.
With advantages of drip system and mulch paper technology farmers are also following advanced agricultural technologies in supplying required nutrients to every crop. Fertigation is such technology where the required essential nutrients are supplied in readily available form to the plants at their root base.
Important thing to be considered in fertigation, is the selection of nutrients and providing right nutrient at the right time of the plant growth synching with various physiological plant growth phases.
Following table is the total muskmelon nutrition or nutrient providing schedules with quantities.

Important note:
The above Fertigation schedule provided is general recommendation generated assuming the crop nutrient requirements. The performance of the crop and nutrient availability is totally based on the soil types and nutrient status of the soil it is not based on any particular soil analyses, and recommendations may differ based on soil test values.
