OZONE herbicide is a broad spectrum, non-selective, contact and post-emergence herbicide containing Paraquat Dichloride 24% SL as its active ingredient. It is used for the control of broadleaf weeds and grasses in wheat, cotton, potato, rice, maize, plantation crops and non-crop areas.
Paraquat Dichloride 24% SL
Mode of Entry: Contact action with limited translocation
Time of Application: Post-emergence
Mode of Action: OZONE interferes with the photosynthesis process inside weed plants. During photosynthesis, it produces reactive compounds that damage weed cell membranes and cytoplasm. This causes burning and drying of green plant tissues. It works mainly through direct contact with green weed foliage, so only the sprayed plant parts are affected.

Irritation, nose bleeding, abdominal cramps, loose motions, liver or kidney-related complications in severe exposure
No specific antidote is known. Symptomatic treatment is recommended. 500 ml of 30% suspension of sterilized bentonite or Fuller’s earth may be administered orally under supervision.
