About Sempra 75% WG Herbicide
Sempra 75% WG herbicide is a selective, post-emergence and systemic herbicide containing Halosulfuron Methyl 75% WG as its active ingredient. It is used to control nutgrass and sedge weeds in sugarcane, maize and bottle gourd crops. It is mainly recommended for controlling cyperus rotundus and cyperus Iria, which compete with crops for water, nutrients and sunlight.

Mode of Action: Halosulfuron Methyl inhibits the ALS (Acetolactate Synthase) enzyme in weeds, which is essential for amino acid formation and weed growth. After absorption through leaves and roots, the herbicide moves throughout the weed plant and gradually stops its growth. The weeds slowly turn yellow, dry and eventually die.

Method of Application
Apply Sempra 75% WG Herbicide as a foliar spray using a knapsack sprayer, battery sprayer or power sprayer fitted with a flat-fan or flood-jet nozzle. Ensure uniform spray coverage on weeds for better results.
Best Time to Spray
- Sugarcane: 20–45 days after sowing
- Maize: 15–17 days after sowing when weeds are at 3–6 leaf stage
- Bottle Gourd: 11–19 days after sowing when weeds are at 3–4 leaf stage
- Spray on young and actively growing weeds.
- Avoid spraying during strong winds or before rainfall.
