Sumi Max Herbicide is a pre-emergence herbicide containing Flumioxazin 50% SC as its active ingredient. It is used for effective management of broadleaf weeds, sedges, and certain annual grasses commonly found in soybean fields. It helps to reduce weed competition for nutrients, water, and sunlight by controlling weeds at the early stages of crop establishment.
Flumioxazin 50% SC
Mode of Entry: Contact and residual soil action
Time of Application: Pre-emergence
Mode of Action: Flumioxazin belongs to the PPO (Protoporphyrinogen Oxidase) inhibitor group of herbicides. It blocks an enzyme essential for chlorophyll formation in weeds. As a result, targeted weeds fail to establish and die during germination and early growth. The herbicide forms a protective layer on the soil surface, controlling weeds as they emerge.
