Ferio herbicide is a non-selective, contact, post-emergence herbicide containing Glufosinate Ammonium 13.5% SL as its active ingredient. It is used to control annual and perennial weeds in tea gardens and cotton crops.

Mode of Action: Ferio inhibits the glutamine synthetase enzyme in weeds. This enzyme is important for converting ammonia into plant compounds. When this process is blocked, ammonia builds up inside the weed, causing the weed to gradually die.

Method of Application
Apply FERIO as a ground-level directed spray using a knapsack sprayer fitted with a fan or flood jet nozzle.
Best Time to Spray Ferio
- Spray Ferio when weeds are in the vegetative growth stage.
- In tea, Ferio can be used when weeds are at the vegetative or flowering stage. A spray shield should be used to prevent drifting onto tea plants.
- In cotton, apply Ferio as a post-emergence herbicide when weeds are actively growing.
- Spray Ferio during the morning or late afternoon when wind speed is low.
- Avoid spraying before rainfall or during windy conditions.
Compatibility, Safety & Storage
Tank-Mix Compatibility
Do not mix Ferio with pesticides, fertilizers, or herbicides unless recommended on the company label or advised by an agronomist. Always check compatibility and crop safety before tank mixing.
Safety Precautions
- Wear gloves, a mask, full-sleeve clothing, and safety goggles while spraying Ferio.
- Do not spray during windy conditions to avoid drift onto neighboring crops.
- Do not eat, drink, or smoke during application.
