-
Mode of Entry: Systemic, Ingestion and Contact (Dual action)
-
Mode of Action: Imidacloprid interrupts the transmission of signals in the insect nervous system by opposing the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor. This leads to nerve cell excitation, nervous system disorder and eventual insect death. Fipronil primarily acts as an ingestion toxicant and, to a lesser extent, has contact action. It interferes with nerve impulse transmission, helping in effective insect control.
