About Velum Prime Nematicide
Velum Prime Nematicide (Fluopyram 34.48% w/w SC) by Bayer is a nematicide used for the control of root knot nematode in tomato and cucumber. Bayer Velum Prime is effective against Meloidogyne incognita, which attacks the root zone of these crops. It is applied as a soil drench around the roots of plants or transplanted seedlings. Apply according to the recommended single or two application schedules for tomato and cucumber.

Mode of Entry: Systemic
Mode of Action: Fluopyram selectively inhibits Complex II of the mitochondrial respiratory chain of nematodes. This interferes with cellular energy production in the nematode.
The treated nematodes become brittle and immobile. The first treatment symptoms are reported to appear about 30 minutes after application.
Time of Application: For tomato, apply the first soil drench 3 days after transplanting. Where two applications are followed, give the second application 3 weeks after the first treatment.
For cucumber, apply the first soil drench 3 weeks after sowing. Where two applications are followed, give the second application 3 weeks after the first treatment.

Method of Application
Soil Drenching: Apply Velum Prime as a soil drench around the root zone of plants or transplanted seedlings. Shake the product well before using it. Add half of the required quantity of water to the tank, add the recommended dose of Velum Prime with proper agitation, then add the remaining water and continue mixing. Use the prepared solution immediately and do not store the spray solution for long periods. For targeted and uniform root zone applications, use a knapsack sprayer without a nozzle.
Best Time to Apply
Apply Velum Prime preferably during morning or evening hours. Do not apply during midday, on a windy day or just before rain.
