About Sencor Herbicide
Sencor herbicide is a selective, acts as both pre-emergence and post-emergence herbicide containing Metribuzin 70% WP as its active ingredient. It is used for effective control of broadleaf weeds, grasses, and sedges in crops such as sugarcane, potato, tomato, soybean, and wheat by reducing weed competition for water, nutrients, and sunlight.

Mode of Action: Metribuzin belongs to the triazinone group of herbicides. It inhibits photosynthesis in susceptible weeds by disrupting energy production. The herbicide is absorbed through roots and foliage, resulting in weed growth suppression and eventual death.

Method of Application
Apply Sencor as a uniform ground spray using a knapsack sprayer or foot operated sprayer fitted with a flat fan or flood-jet nozzle. Ensure even coverage of the target area.
Best Time to Spray
Sugarcane (Pre-emergence)
- Apply after the first irrigation when soil moisture is adequate.
- Apply 3–5 days after planting.
Sugarcane (Post-emergence)
- Apply 25–30 days after planting.
- Potato: Apply 3–4 days after planting or before crop emergence.
- Tomato: Apply one week before transplanting or 15 days after transplanting.
- Soybean: Apply 1–2 days after sowing.
- Wheat: Apply around 35 days after sowing (when weeds are 2-3 leaf stage and crop is 3-5 leaf stage)
Precautions for use in wheat:
- Avoid use in sandy soil
- Spray on clear day
- Second irrigation should be light and avoid water stagnation
- Avoid overlapping during application
- Do not mix with other herbicides
- Do not broadcast
- It should be sprayed at optimum concentration with flood jet/ flat fan nozzles.

- Compatible with 2,4-D, 2,4-DP, Diuron (Only in sugarcane)
- Avoid mixing with insecticides, urea, or plant growth regulators

Additional Information & Restrictions
- Apply only once, either as a pre-emergence or early post-emergence treatment.
