About Plesiva Insecticide
Plesiva Insecticide is a Syngenta product containing Cyantraniliprole 7.3% w/w + Diafenthiuron 36.4% w/w SC. It is a broad-spectrum insecticide with systemic, contact, stomach and translaminar action mainly used to control important sucking and chewing pests.
Plesiva Insecticide is recommended in cotton and chilli crops. It controls pests such as jassids, whitefly, thrips, aphids, pink bollworm, mites and fruit borer.

Mode of Action: Plesiva contains Cyantraniliprole and Diafenthiuron. Cyantraniliprole belongs to IRAC Group 28 and is a ryanodine receptor modulator, while Diafenthiuron belongs to IRAC Group 12A and is mentioned as an inhibitor of mitochondrial ATP synthase. The product acts through systemic, stomach, contact and translaminar activity, helping control pests present on treated crop surfaces and pests located on the underside of leaves.

Foliar Spray: Apply Plesiva Insecticide as a foliar spray using a knapsack sprayer with hollow cone nozzle or any other suitable nozzle for proper crop coverage.
Apply the first foliar spray when the pest reaches ETL. Repeat 1 to 2 applications at an interval of 10 to 15 days depending on pest intensity. The maximum number of sprays should not be more than two. Do not spray during windy weather, hot hours of the day, when foliage is wet, or when rain is expected.

- Avoid direct contact with skin, eyes, and clothing.
- In case of accidental ingestion, inhalation, or eye exposure, seek immediate medical attention.
- Do not spray during the active bee foraging period of the day.
- The product is very toxic to aquatic organisms, fish and honey bees.
- Avoid use near aquaculture and during the active bee foraging period of the day.
- Avoid spray drift to flowering weeds, hedges or flowering crops near the treatment area.
- Do not contaminate water bodies with product or used container.
Storage
- Store in a cool, dry, and well ventilated place away from direct sunlight, food, feed, fertilizers, and water sources. Keep the product in its original sealed container.

Additional Information & State Restrictions
- IRAC group codes mentioned on the leaflet are Group 28 for Cyantraniliprole and Group 12A for Diafenthiuron.
- Do not use insecticides from the same mode of action group for treating successive generations of the target pest.
- Use approved insecticides with different modes of action in rotation where more than one application is needed.
- Avoid using more or less than the labelled dose.
- The leaflet mentions an optimal re entry period of 24 hours after each application.
