About Multiplex Manganese
Multiplex Manganese (Mn) 30.5%, from Multiplex is a micronutrient fertilizer suitable for all crops. Manganese deficiency occurs in alkaline soils due to over liming, heavy phosphate application with low Potash content, and excess Copper, Iron and Zinc in the soil, and this fertilizer helps correct that deficiency through foliar application. This Manganese Sulphate fertilizer for crop nutrition supports the development of meristematic tissue and metabolism of proteins, is essential for chlorophyll production and certain oxidation reactions in the plant and helps develop disease resistance and improve seed quality.

Key Roles of Nutrients in Plant Nutrition
-
Manganese: Involved in nitrogen metabolism and a constituent of enzyme systems involved in the breakdown of carbohydrates; essential for chlorophyll manufacture, used particularly in photosynthesis, and helps regulate auxin levels through the auxin oxidase system.
Time of Application: As a foliar spray, starting 30 days after germination or transplantation, with sprays repeated at 20 days intervals.
Key Features & Benefits
-
Supports Photosynthesis: Manganese is used particularly in photosynthesis and is essential for chlorophyll manufacture.
-
Regulates Plant Growth: Helps regulate auxin levels through the auxin oxidase system.
-
Prevents Chloroplast Disintegration: Addresses chloroplast breakdown that occurs in Manganese-deficient leaves.
-
Improves Disease Resistance & Seed Quality: Helps develop disease resistance and improves the quality of seeds.
-
Essential for Cereal Crops: Cereal crops require more Manganese for higher yield, making timely sprays especially useful for them.
- Manganese application improves the quantity of Tea leaves.
Multiplex Manganese Dosage & Recommended Crops
Recommended Crops: All crops; cereal crops, peas, potato, onion and fruit plants are particularly prone to deficiency;
Method of Application and Dosage:
Foliar Spray: Dissolve 2.5 gm per litre of water (500 gm/200 L water /acre/spray) and spray liberally on both sides of the leaves.
Best Time to Spray: First spray 30 days after germination or transplantation, with two to three sprays recommended at 20 days intervals.
Compatibility, Safety & Storage
Tank-Mix Compatibility
Use Multiplex Maxiwet or Multiplex Nagastha-180 as a sticking or spreading agent for better absorption.

Multiplex Manganese Expert Advice
"Multiplex Manganese works best as a foliar spray about a month after germination or transplanting, with a followup spray roughly 20 days later for crops showing pale, yellowish green to white stripes on the leaves. Cereal crops generally benefit from two to three sprays, as they need more Manganese for a good yield, and adding a sticking agent can help the spray stay on the leaf longer." – BigHaat Agronomy Expert
Additional Information
- Manganese deficiency symptoms include pale and yellowish green to white longitudinal stripes on leaf blades, with interveinal chlorosis confined to the middle and tip of leaves, and yellow mottled areas or spots along with interveinal chlorosis on young leaves.
- In wheat, leaves initially turn pale, with interveinal stripes developing later; similar symptoms can appear in peas, potato, onion, fruit plants, groundnut and most vegetables.
