About Suntech Tembosun Herbicides

TEMBOSUN Herbicide is a Suntech Agriscience product.

It contains Tembotrione 34.4% SC.

It is a modern, broad-spectrum, selective post-emergence herbicide formulated as a suspension concentrate (SC), delivering superior and rapid control against a wide range of tough annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in maize (corn).

TEMBOSUN Herbicide is used against Echinochloa colona, Echinochloa crus-galli, Dactyloctenium aegyptium, Digitaria sanguinalis, Brachiaria reptans, Eleusine indica, Trianthema portulacastrum, Amaranthus viridis, Digera arvensis, Portulaca oleracea, Commelina benghalensis, and Parthenium hysterophorus.

It is recommended for maize (corn).

Mode of Action

Mode of Entry: Absorbed rapidly through the active green leaves and stems of weeds with systemic translocation via xylem and phloem directly to active growing meristems.

Mode of Action: 4-Hydroxyphenylpyruvate Dioxygenase (HPPD) Inhibitor (HRAC Group 27 / F2). It blocks the HPPD enzyme, preventing the biosynthesis of plastoquinone and carotenoid pigments. This results in the destruction of chlorophyll by sunlight, leading to characteristic weed leaf bleaching (complete whitening), followed by rapid necrosis and weed mortality within 7 to 10 days.

Dosage per Acre

Per Litre of Water: 0.6 ml – 0.8 ml (approx. 10 ml – 12 ml per 15-litre spray pump) along with a suitable spray adjuvant/surfactant (e.g., methylated seed oil/surfactant at 1.5–2.0 ml/L).

Per Acre (Foliar Post-Emergence Spray): 115 ml – 120 ml in 150–200 litres of water along with the recommended adjuvant.
