Mode of Action: Soldier EPN contains Heterorhabditis indica which immediately attacks immature stages of insects. They enter insects through various body openings or directly through the body wall. Once it invades, it releases toxic bacteria into insect blood and kills the target insect within 24 to 48 hours by causing septicemia (blood poisoning). They multiply in lakhs inside the insect body and finally come out and begin searching for new insects. The nematodes survive and parasitize new insects for several days to months.
