About Chempa herbicide
Chempa Herbicide (Pyrazosulfuron-Ethyl 70% WDG) by Dhanuka is a selective, systemic, broad-spectrum herbicide. It is used in rice for control of sedges, grasses, and broadleaf weeds during the early stages of crop growth. Product Specifications
Mode of Entry: Systemic
Time of Application: Pre-emergence and early post-emergence
Mode of Action: Pyrazosulfuron-Ethyl belongs to the sulfonylurea group of herbicides. It is absorbed through the roots, shoots, and leaves of weeds and moves throughout the plant.
It inhibits the enzyme Acetolactate Synthase (ALS), which is essential to produce amino acids required for plant growth. As a result, targeted weeds stop growing, become yellow, and eventually die.
