Alecto is an insecticide developed by Indofil Industries Ltd. It features a newer chemistry known as Tenebenal technology.
It falls under the meta-diamide group (IRAC Group 30). The active ingredient in Alecto is Broflanilide.
Alecto Insecticide is effective against a variety of pests, including lepidopteran pests, Jassids, and Thrips.

Alecto Insecticide Technical Details

Technical Name: Broflanilide 20% SC
Mode of Entry: Contact & ingestion
Mode of Action: Alecto Indofil binds to GABA receptors and inhibits transmission of nerve signals by altering the properties of GABA receptors. This results in the over-excitement of the nervous system, causing uncontrolled, involuntary movement and, ultimately, death of insect.
