Mode of Action: It works by using a natural fungus called Verticillium lecanii, which infects target insects when its spores come into contact with their skin. The fungus then grows through the insect’s cuticle and spreads throughout its body, depriving it of nutrients and ultimately causing its death within 48-72 hours. Verticillium lecanii produces toxins which infect and kill aphids, whiteflies, scale insects, and other pests

Varunastra (Verticillium Lecanii 2.0% AS) Usage & Crops
Recommended Crops: Banana, Grapes, Guava, Citrus, Mango, Sapota, Apple, Coconut, Paddy, Cotton, Tomato, Chilly, Brinjal, Onion, Okra, Tea, Cardamom, Coffee, Aromatic and Medicinal crops
Targeted Insects: Aphids, Thrips, Mealy bugs, White flies, Jassids, Hoppers, Scales and all types of Mites
Dosage: 8-10 ml/ L of Water
Method of Application
- Stir the solution well until it is fully dissolved.
- Fill the high volume sprayer with the Varunastra solution.
- Spray Varunastra onto the plant leaves, ensuring that both sides of the leaves are covered.
- Apply it in the morning, when the weather is calm and cool.
- Repeat the application every 7 days to control pest population Keep the sprayer clean and calibrated to ensure accurate application.
