About Lihocin
Lihocin (Chlormequat Chloride 50% SL) by BASF is a plant growth regulator used to improve the yield and quality of produce in Cotton, Potato, Brinjal, and Grapes. It effectively channelizes plant growth in the desired direction at a particular period of time, retarding unwanted excessive vegetative growth, preventing lodging, and reducing flower and fruit fall. By inducing early and uniform maturity and improving drought resistance, Lihocin helps crops convert growth into more yield and better-quality produce. It is applied via foliar spray, seed soaking, or cut-piece dipping, depending on the crop.
Lihocin Technical Content
Chlormequat Chloride 50% SL w/w
Mode of Action: Chlormequat chloride restricts excessive vegetative growth by suppressing gibberellin biosynthesis in the plant, which channelizes growth into the desired direction at the right period of time. This retards unwanted vegetative growth, prevents lodging, reduces flower and fruit fall, and induces early and uniform maturity along with improved drought resistance, together translating into more yield and better-quality produce.
Time of Application: Crop and stage specific
Key Features & Benefits
-
More Yield: Channelizes plant growth to convert into higher productivity.
-
Better Quality Produce: Improves the overall quality of the harvested produce.
-

Method of Application: For Cotton and Grapes, apply as a foliar spray using high- or low-volume sprayers, knapsack, or foot sprayer fitted with a hollow cone nozzle for thorough coverage, mixing the measured product with a small quantity of water first and then making up the balance.
Best Time to Spray: Apply preferably in the morning and evening; avoid application under high wind. Re-entry to the field is permitted as soon as the spray has dried on the crop.

Lihocin Expert Advice
"For best results, use Lihocin applications precisely to the crop stage specified for each crop square formation to early flowering in cotton, seed soaking in brinjal, cut piece dipping in potato, or the leaf-stage windows after pruning in Grapes and avoid spraying under high wind or outside the recommended crop list." – BigHaat Agronomy Expert
