Mode of Action: Katyayani EMA5 insecticide due to its translaminar activity penetrates into leaf tissues and forms a reservoir within the leaf. It inhibits muscle contraction, causing a continuous flow of chlorine ions in the GABA and H-Glutamate receptor sites. Affected larvae become paralyzed and stop feeding shortly after exposure to Insecticide and subsequently die after 2-4 days.
