Folio Gold Fungicide (Metalaxyl M 3.3% + Chlorothalonil 33.1% SC) by Syngenta, works through systemic and contact action. It is used for fungal diseases in potato, tomato, citrus, ginger and onion. Syngenta Folio Gold is effective against late blight, early blight, Phytophthora diseases, foot rot, gummosis, root rot, crown rot, rhizome rot, downy mildew, purple blotch and Stemphylium leaf blight. Apply through foliar spray or soil drenching as recommended for the crop, including 25 to 35 days after transplanting where applicable.

Mode of Action: Folio Gold combines the systemic activity of Metalaxyl M with the multisite contact action of Chlorothalonil. Metalaxyl M is a site specific phenylamide fungicide that acts within the treated plant. Chlorothalonil remains active on the crop surface and provides contact protection. Together, the two active ingredients protect the crop from fungal infection present within or on the plant and help check further disease development.
Time of Application: Apply Folio Gold 25 to 35 days after transplanting.

Method of Application
- Foliar Spray: Mix Folio Gold at 2 ml per litre of water and apply uniformly over the complete crop canopy. Use a minimum of 200 litres of water per acre where this water volume is recommended. For satisfactory disease control, use suitable spraying equipment such as a knapsack sprayer to ensure complete crop coverage.
- Soil Drenching in Citrus: Mix Folio Gold at 2 ml per litre of water. Apply 5 litres of the prepared solution per tree as a soil drench for the labelled citrus diseases.
- Soil Drenching in Ginger: Use 800 ml of Folio Gold in 400 litres of water per acre. Apply the prepared solution as a soil drench for rhizome rot management.
Best Time to Spray
Apply Folio Gold 25 to 35 days after transplanting, ensure the spray reaches the complete crop canopy and follow the crop specific directions on the product label.
