Pegasus Insecticide is a Syngenta India Limited product. It contains Diafenthiuron 50% WP and is a broad-spectrum insecticide for agricultural use. It has contact and ingestion action.
Pegasus Insecticide is used against whiteflies, aphids, thrips, jassids, diamond back moth, mites, capsule borer and red spider mites. It is recommended in cotton, cabbage, chilli, brinjal, cardamom, watermelon, okra, tomato and citrus.

Mode of Action: Diafenthiuron belongs to IRAC Group 12A. It is a thiourea derivative of diphenyl ether and acts by inhibiting mitochondrial ATP synthase. It paralyses the pest, and affected insects remain immobile on the crop until death in about 3 to 4 days.

Foliar Spray: Apply Pegasus Insecticide as a foliar spray with sufficient water for proper foliage coverage. Use a knapsack sprayer, foot sprayer, compression knapsack sprayer, battery sprayer, power operated sprayer or any other suitable sprayer with a hollow cone nozzle or any other suitable nozzle.
Spray Pegasus Insecticide when the pest appears in the crop. Do not spray during windy weather, during hot hours of the day, when foliage is wet, or when rain is expected.
Cotton: Apply the first spray during the initial appearance of pests and repeat one or two sprays at 15-day intervals, depending on pest intensity.
Cabbage: Apply the first spray at 30 DAT or at the first appearance of pests and repeat one or two sprays at 10–15 day intervals, depending on pest intensity.
Chilli: Apply the first spray at 30 DAT or at the first appearance of pests and repeat one or two sprays at 14–21 day intervals, depending on pest intensity.
Brinjal: Apply the first spray at the first appearance of pests and repeat one or two sprays at 14–21 day intervals, depending on pest intensity.
Cardamom: Apply the first spray at the first appearance of pests and repeat one or two sprays at 21–30 day intervals, depending on pest intensity.
Watermelon, Okra, Tomato, Citrus: Apply the first spray at the first appearance of pests and repeat one or two sprays at 10–15 day intervals, depending on pest intensity.

- Wear gloves, mask, full sleeve clothing, and safety goggles while spraying.
- Do not spray on windy days to prevent spray drift.
- Do not eat, drink, or smoke while handling or applying the product.
- Wash hands, face, and exposed skin thoroughly after spraying.
- Keep out of reach of children, pets, and livestock.
- Avoid direct contact with skin, eyes, and clothing.
- In case of accidental ingestion, inhalation, or eye exposure, seek immediate medical attention.
- Do not use cooking utensils for preparing the spray solution.
- Use a wooden stick for stirring the spray solution.
- Avoid inhalation of fog, vapour or spray mist.
- Wear protective clothing, cap, hat and boots while handling the product.
- Do not blow the nozzle with mouth.
- Do not spray crops under stress.
- Do not store unused spray solution.
- Do not spray when crop canopy is dense and taller than the waist height of the spray operator.
- Do not use during flowering of crops and when bees are pollinating.
Storage
- Store in a cool, dry, and well ventilated place away from direct sunlight, food, feed, fertilizers, and water sources. Keep the product in its original sealed container.
- Keep the product under lock and key, away from children, unauthorized persons and animals.
- Do not allow the product to freeze.
