About SUNTECH TWIL Insecticides

TWIL Insecticide is a Suntech Agriscience product.

It contains Fipronil 5% SC.

It is a broad-spectrum, modern phenylpyrazole insecticide formulated as a suspension concentrate (SC) offering potent systemic, contact, and stomach action.

TWIL Insecticide is used against stem borers, leaf folders, gall midges, whorl maggots, brown plant hoppers (BPH), thrips, aphids, diamondback moths (DBM), termites, and root grubs. It is recommended on paddy (rice), cotton, chilli, cabbage, onion, sugarcane, and groundnut.

Mode of Action

Mode of Entry: Absorbed systemically through foliage and roots with strong translaminar activity, acting via contact and stomach (ingestion) routes.

Mode of Action: Phenylpyrazole chemistry that blocks GABA-gated chloride channels in the central nervous system of insects, causing central nervous system hyperexcitation, paralysis, and pest mortality.
