About SUNTECH ABASUN Insecticides

ABASUN Insecticide & Acaricide is a Suntech Agriscience product containing Abamectin 1.9% EC, a potent naturally derived macrocyclic lactone formulated as an emulsifiable concentrate (EC) delivering superior translaminar, contact, and stomach action.

ABASUN is used against two-spotted spider mites, red spider mites, yellow mites, thrips, and serpentine leaf miners in chilli, cotton, brinjal, tomato, grapes, and tea.

Mode of Action

Mode of Entry: Mainly ingestion (stomach) and contact action with rapid translaminar penetration across leaf tissues.

Mode of Action: Chloride channel activator (IRAC Group 6) that binds to glutamate-gated chloride channels and stimulates GABA release, causing continuous chloride ion influx, nervous inhibition, irreversible paralysis, and insect mortality.

Key Features & Benefits

Strong Translaminar Reservoir Effect: Rapidly enters foliar tissues to create an active protective reservoir inside the leaves, effectively wiping out leaf-mining larvae and mites sheltered on lower surfaces.

Rapid Feeding Cessation & Safety Profile: Pests halt feeding within a few hours of contact or ingestion to stop crop injury immediately, while decomposing rapidly on external plant surfaces to minimize harm to beneficial predatory insects.
