About Katyayani NPK 12:61:00
Katyayani NPK 12:61:00, from Katyayani, is a fully water-soluble Mono Ammonium Phosphate (MAP) fertilizer containing 12% Nitrogen and 61% Phosphorus with no Potassium, suitable for cereals, millets, pulses, oilseeds, fruits, vegetables, spices, flowers, cotton, jute and sugarcane. It is used at the start of the season to build early roots, and again around flowering when phosphorus demand rises. This MAP water soluble fertilizer for crop nutrition can be applied as a foliar spray, through drip or as a drench. Since it has no Potassium, it works as a starter and flowering support grade rather than a full season feed.

Compatibility, Safety & Storage
Tank-Mix Compatibility
- Can be mixed with commonly used pesticides, fungicides and fertilizers, except those containing sulphur, calcium or lead compounds.
- Do not tank-mix with calcium nitrate or other calcium fertilizers, as calcium and phosphate form an insoluble solid that can clog nozzles and drip lines.

- Do not eat, drink, or smoke while handling the product.
- Wash hands and exposed skin after application.

Katyayani NPK 12:61:00 Expert Advice
"Katyayani NPK 12:61:00 works best at the start of the crop and again just before flowering, when the plant needs more phosphorus for roots and flowers. Dissolve it fully before using and keep it away from calcium products, so the spray or drip line does not get blocked." - BigHaat Agronomy Expert
Additional Information
- Phosphorus deficiency shows as dark green or purple leaves, poor root growth, and delayed flowering and fruiting; Nitrogen deficiency shows as yellowing of older leaves and stunted, pale plants.
- A 1% solution is mildly acidic (about pH 4 to 5), which helps keep phosphate available in alkaline water and soils.
- Avoid over-application, as excess phosphorus can lock up Zinc and Iron. Run a soil test on fields already high in Phosphorus.
- Later in the season, a balanced grade such as NPK 19:19:19 suits better than this phosphorus-heavy grade.
