Method of Application
- Foliar Spray: Apply KMYCIN as a foliar spray using the crop specific Streptocycline concentration mentioned in the recommendation. Ensure uniform coverage of the crop.
- Seed Treatment: For paddy bacterial leaf blight, prepare a 40 ppm Streptocycline solution and soak the seeds for 12 hours at room temperature before sowing.
For potato, soak seed tubers in a 40 to 100 ppm Streptocycline solution for half an hour before planting.
- Seedling Treatment: For paddy, dip seedlings in a 40 to 100 ppm Streptocycline solution before planting as recommended.
For tomato, spray seedlings with a 40 to 100 ppm solution in seed beds and fields after the appearance of the first true leaves. Use two sprays, one before transplanting and another after transplanting.
Best Time to Spray
Apply KMYCIN according to the crop specific disease recommendation.
- For apple, spray at 20 to 30 percent bloom and repeat every 3 to 4 days during blossom time as stated in the source.
- For beans, the first preventive spray is recommended 10 days after leaf emergence, followed by applications at 7 day intervals.
- For citrus, repeat applications at 15 to 20 day intervals after the appearance of new growth and ensure complete coverage of foliage and young fruits.
