About VESTA Herbicide
VESTA Herbicide is a Post-emergence, Broad-Spectrum, Selective Herbicide containing Clodinafop Propargyl 15% + Metsulfuron Methyl 1% WP. It is used for controlling both grassy weeds and broadleaf weeds in wheat fields.

Mode of Action: VESTA is a combination of herbicide with dual action against grassy and broadleaf weeds. Clodinafop Propargyl inhibits the ACCase enzyme, which is essential for fatty acid synthesis in grassy weeds. These stops weed growth and gradually kill grassy weeds like Phalaris minor. Metsulfuron Methyl inhibits the ALS enzyme, blocking amino acid synthesis in broadleaf weeds. This prevents cell division and weed development.

Method of Application
Apply Vesta UPL as a foliar spray using a knapsack sprayer fitted with a flat-fan nozzle for uniform coverage. Mix the the product thoroughly in water and add the supplied surfactant before spraying.
Preparation of Spray Solution
- Dissolve the VESTA sachet in around 10 liters of water.
- Add the supplied surfactant and mix thoroughly.
- Add more water to make the final spray volume around 150 liters per acre.
- Spray uniformly over the field.
Best Time to Spray
- Apply herbicide when weeds are at the 2–6 leaf stage.
- The ideal application timing is 35 days after sowing wheat.
- Spray during calm weather conditions for better spray deposition.
- Avoid spraying during windy conditions or when rain is expected shortly after spraying.
Compatibility, Safety & Storage
Tank-Mix Compatibility
Consult an agronomist before mixing VESTA with fungicides, insecticides, or micronutrients. Avoid unnecessary tank mixing unless compatibility is confirmed.

- Wear gloves, masks, full-sleeve clothing, and safety goggles while spraying VESTA.
- Avoid spraying during windy conditions to prevent drifting.
- Do not eat, drink, or smoke during application.

Important Crop Precaution
Dicot crops like mustard and gram should not be grown as intercrops in wheat fields where VESTA herbicide is used.

First Aid
- Move the affected person to fresh air immediately.
- Wash contaminated skin with soap and water.
- Flush eyes with clean water for at least 15 minutes if exposed.
- Seek medical attention in case of poisoning or severe exposure.
Storage
Store VESTA in a dry and well-ventilated place away from food, feed, and direct sunlight.
Keep the product in sealed packing under lock and key.
