About Multiplex Nisarga
Multiplex Nisarga (Trichoderma viride 1.5% W.P.) by Multiplex is a bio-fungicide used for controlling seed and soil borne fungal diseases. It effectively controls root rot, damping off and fungal wilts in vegetables, fruit crops, field crops, pulses and plantation crops, including wilt disease in tomato, brinjal and okra, root rot in carrot, and Ganoderma wilt in arecanut and coconut. It also helps manage plant parasitic nematodes, specifically root-knot nematodes infecting tomato, brinjal, carrot and okra. Nisarga works by suppressing pathogenic fungi through antibiosis and competition for nutrients, and is suitable for seed treatment, soil application, nursery treatment or seedling dip in recommended crops.

Mode of Action
Nisarga works through Trichoderma viride, a fungal bioagent that suppresses other pathogenic fungi through antibiosis, using secondary metabolites, and by competing with them for nutrients. It secretes cellulase and chitinase enzymes that destroy the cell wall of disease causing pathogenic fungi or bacteria, which brings down the overall pathogenic load in the soil.

Method of Applications
- Carrier Based Application: Apply Nisarga at 2 to 5 kg per acre.
- Seed Treatment: Mix 20 gm of Nisarga in 10 ml of water to give a proper coating on 1 kg of seed.
- Soil Application: Mix 2 to 5 kg of Nisarga in 2 MT of farmyard manure (FYM) and broadcast over one acre before planting.
- Nursery Treatment: Apply 50 g per square metre, or mix 1 kg of Nisarga in 100 litres of water and drench it in the nursery bed.
- Seedling Dipping: Mix 100 g of Nisarga in one litre of water and dip the roots of the seedling in the suspension for 10 to 15 minutes before transplanting.
Frequency of Application: Two to three applications are recommended in vegetables and field crops, while 4 to 5 applications are recommended in lawns and landscape crops, at an interval of 2 to 4 weeks.
Best Time to Apply: Applying Nisarga at the early stages of the crop, since this gives the beneficial Trichoderma sufficient time to establish in the soil.
